Slot mortising bits SP

Description

Ideal for mortising slots into solid woods, for mortising door locks, flush mortising of fittings

Equipped with chip breakers for an improved chip removal. With mortising bits the serrations in the hardened metal are ground. As a result, a clean machining surface is achieved and the tool has a longer service life. Particularly smooth cut. Suitable for soft- and hardwood.

Recommended rotating speed: 3000-5000 rpm

Cutter blade qualities

HW = tungsten carbide (old designation HM)

HS = high-alloy high-speed steel (high-performance steel)

SP = alloy tool steel (special steel)
