Details
The workpiece support for floor mounting offers an additional, flexible solution providing a stable support of workpieces. It includes a support stand with a roller rail incl. swivel arm, which enables flexible positioning. The position can be adjusted by the operator as required - ideal for adapting to workpieces of different sizes and lengths.
The chain feed of the tempora F1000 offers feed speeds from 12 + 20 m/min (39.3 + 65.6 ft/min) (classic/professional) or 12 - 25 m/min (39.3 + 82 ft/min) (performance) and ensures an optimum grip on the workpiece thanks to the rubberized support pads. A quick-change system makes it easy to replace the pads. Automatic lubrication of the guiding tracks ensures smooth operation of the F1000. The round and flat shaft guides ensure that the workpieces are guided straight through the machine without tilting.
The upper pressure bar of the tempora F1000 comprises a torsion-resistant aluminum tension profile which ensures a uniform pressure distribution on the workpiece. The power-adjustable workpiece height (8 - 60 mm / 0.3 - 2.3 in) is set with precision via the e-motion control system. The overhead belt feed protects the material by moving the workpiece more gently through the machine and at the same time minimizes the cleaning effort on finished workpieces, since there is no abrasion from pressure rollers, which would normally be installed. The workpiece distance control system with signal light guarantees reliable control.
The workpiece feed of the tempora F1000 is equipped with a feed rulere-motion which enables continuous chip removal from 0 - 3 mm (0 - ¹/₈ in). Thanks to the power position control, chip removal is conveniently set and shown on the smartouch display. For greater convenience, the chip removal can be automatically linked to the edge thickness to ensure seamless adjustment to different processing requirements.
Easy and careful handling of large-size and surface-sensitive workpieces Placed directly on the machine's infeed ruler and equipped with powerful blower motor, a constant air cushion between the machine table and the resting workpiece ensures easy and gentle workpiece feed. The solid table construction with a 1050 x 400 mm supporting surface (with an additional air cushion table expandable to 2000 x 400 mm) and the flexible extendable frame guarantee maximum stability during workpiece feed.
The mitre fence eases the handling of narrow workpieces and ensures a precise and reliable workpiece feed. It is specially designed for workpiece lengths of 120 - 700 mm (4.7 - 27.55 in) and enables precise alignment of the workpieces during processing.
Format4 edgeControl now provides even easier and more precise operation and adjustment of tempora edgebanders.
The values for edge and workpiece thickness, that are recorded to the hundredth of a millimeter with the wireless measuring unit, are transferred to the machine's smartouch operating unit via Bluetooth. The controller recognises the measured values and sorts them automatically according to workpiece or edge thickness. The operator then selects the desired setting values from the measurement data log that contains the five last measured values. Smartouch automatically calibrates all required units to the exact dimensions.
With edgeControl, production losses due to typing or measuring errors as well as tolerance deviations of the edge dimensions are eliminated.
The wireless barcode scanner of the tempora F1000 provides an intuitive solution for fast transfer of generated work programs to the control system of the machine. Particularly in the case of networked workshops, the barcode scanner proves itself by processing data efficiently and supporting work processes without a hitch. This system combines user-friendliness and technology for the optimum level of productivity.
The 18" smartouch control unit with network connection reduces manual settings to a minimum and enables fast, simple and intuitive selection and control of the units as well as complete monitoring of all machine functions directly from the screen. The smartouch functions include:

The automatic edge feeder of the tempora F1000 allows fast and easy changing of the edging material directly at the front side of the machine without having to open the protective hood. Material is inserted into the unit and automatically pulled into the machine at the touch of a button. As soon as the edge has reached the starting point, the edge feed stops and the machine is ready for use. The height of the edging material is automatically detected by the control system and the clamp positioned by motor.
The “storEdge professional” edge magazine enables the fully automatic feeding of up to six coiled edge material rolls via separate channels. Thanks to the motorized height adjustment of the edge clamp, precise adjustment to the edge height is guaranteed. In addition, the standard feeder can be used flexibly, as the machine can be manually converted if required. With an edge thickness of 0.4 - 2 mm (0.015 - 0.078 in) - and an edge height of 12 - 45 mm (0.47 - 1.77 in), the edge magazine is ideal for various requirements and ensures efficient and versatile material feeding.
The magazine for strip material has a capacity of 144 mm (5.6 in) and enables the automatic feeding of strip material using an integrated needle roller. Suitable for edge thicknesses from 1 - 12 mm (0.03 - 0.47 in), it offers a reliable and efficient means for precision work with strip material. Ideal for applications where a continuous supply of material is required.
The edge jointing unit of the tempora F1000 is equipped with two powerful motors (3.7 kW, 12,000 rpm each) and uses two diamond jointing cutters (D=100 mm (3.9 in), H=49 mm (1.9 in)) for precise and consistent processing. The unit aligns itself centrically to the height of the workpiece, which prevents one-sided wear and extends the service life of the cutters. The routers can be used in both synchronized and counter-rotation mode, which makes spare parts management easier. The cutter height and depth are adjusted manually using digital meters, and linear guides guarantee maximum precision and durability.
The top-mounted glue pot of the tempora F1000 features a Teflon coating and a capacity of 0.6 kg (1.3 lb) for the processing of EVA, PO and PUR hotmelt glues. The glue is applied with great precision using a finely adjustable, textured glue roller which operates in an application-controlled manner. A synchronized and counter-rotation function cleans the glue roller during processing to prevent streaking. The quick-change system complete with a convenient plug as well as integrated rinsing and cleaning function, including a silicone drip tray, ensures easy handling and maintenance. The cartridge heater monitoring system also ensures consistent performance and quality.
The tempora F1000 premelter is specially designed for EVA and PO glue granules and has a capacity of 3.5 kg (7.7 lb). The granulate is pressed onto a heating plate by a pressure cylinder and then transferred in liquid form to the glue tank with a capacity of 0.6 kg (1.3 lb). A level sensor inside the glue tank automatically requests replenishment, ensuring a consistent supply of glue. The heated glue roller guarantees precise processing and for easy maintenance, the premelter can be drained using compressed air intervals.
The premelter for PUR, EVA and PO glues offers a flexible solution for processing granular or cartridge glues. The closed system combines maximum ease of use with the longest possible shelf life for reactive hot melt glues. With a capacity of 2 kg (4.4 lb), the system can handle both EVA hot melt and PUR glues. Maximum cartridge diameter of 128 mm (5.03 in) and processing without aluminum bag. The shelf life of molten PUR glues depends on various factors such as air humidity, workshop temperature and storage conditions. The system ensures precise adjustment and maximum efficiency when working with different types of glues.
The patented advantEdge unit from Format4 allows for a visual zero joint when processing co-extruded edge and laser edge materials. The unit is controlled by the workpiece and can be activated and deactivated directly from the control unit. advantEdge provides a homogeneous finish of panel and edge material workpieces, especially for high-gloss surfaces. An edge material suited exactly to the material ensures a zero-joint line and as no time-consuming glue change of various colours is required, you profit from considerably reduced changeover times.
The tempora F1000 pressure unit e-motion offers motor-driven position-controlled adjustment and works pneumatically controlled. It includes a total of four rollers: one main motor driven pressure roller, followed by two conical and one straight pressure roller. The contact pressure can be conveniently adjusted in two stages using the e-motion control unit, while the precise positioning ensures optimum results. The pneumatic pre-clamping guarantees reliable material feed and even bonding.
The corner rounding unit of the tempora F1000 offers excellent precision and flexibility, even when when it comes to soft and postforming workpieces. Equipped with two independent motors each running at 12,000 rpm, it enables the processing of face and longitudinal edges with an edge thickness between 0.4-3.0 mm (¹/₆₄ - ¹/₈ in) and workpiece heights between 10-60 mm (0.39-2.36 in). Thanks to the patented multi-radius router based on R=2 mm (⁵/₆₄ in) and four servo axes for motor-driven positioning and fine adjustment in 0.01 mm (0.0003 in) increments, it guarantees perfect results. A pneumatic engagement and disengagement function as well as high-quality linear guides ensure a long service life and maximum precision. The control of the corner rounding unit is done via the control panel - with the choice as to which corners are to be rounded (only on the front side of the workpiece, only the rear, or the front and rear).
The tempora F1000 grooving unit is ideal for horizontal and vertical processing. It is equipped with a powerful 3.7 kW motor with 12,000 rpm and thanks to the two servo axes for electromotive adjustment, settings can be precisely adjusted in 0.01 mm (0.0003 in) increments directly from the control panel. The grooving unit works in counter-rotation and the X and Y axes ensure flexible positioning and maximum precision. On request, the unit can also be configured with an in- and out-feed control.
The glue scraper unit of the tempora F1000 ensures a flawless finish of workpiece surfaces by removing all glue residue from the glue bond with a pulling cut. Two pneumatically controlled units with precision scraping knives ensure maximum accuracy and durability, supported by linear guides. A large sensing roller is used for scanning, while an extraction hood with separate chip collection box ensures clean working conditions. This unit is another step towards the perfect workpiece surface.
The polishing unit guarantees excellent results on ABS and PVC edges. Equipped with two independent electric motors (1,400 rpm) and cotton brushes, it cleans and polishes the upper and lower edge surfaces with precision. A buffing pad diameter of 120 mm (4.7 in) and the option of manual fine adjustment on the unit ensure maximum flexibility. An optional spray unit for the controlled dispensing of a polishing agent can also be fitted to further optimize the finish.
The hot air blow dryer at the machine outfeed provides a targeted heat treatment to brush up the edge color. It consists of two units one for the top and one for the bottom of the workpiece. The heat intensifies the primary color of the edgeband material and therefore smoothes out any possible stress whitening.
The SET spraying units optimize the entire work process thanks to spraying systems for release agents, antistatic agents, lubricants and cleaning agents. With finely adjustable precision nozzles to ensure minimal consumption and backflow protection, maximum process reliability is guaranteed. The set also includes 2 containers each with a filling volume of 2 liters (0.5 gal.) and consists of:

The premilling unit “professional” with two independent motors (1.1 kW & 12,000 rpm each) offers precise flush routing. Equipped with interchangeable insert cutters and a maximum edge protrusion machining of 5 mm (0.19 in) on the top of the workpiece, it guarantees the highest degree of precision.
