What is important to you? Customers from all over the world explain why they have chosen a Felder machine.
"I have been a Felder customer for a very long time, owning a range of different machines. They are a great partnership to have, close to my business and they provide excellent customer service. Here to the video."
"I have an advantage when shopping for tools and machinery. For many years I have traveled around the country and taught woodworking. The different schools have a variety of machines and tools - I get hands-on experience with them all.
Felder planers always stood out with their ability to adjust the cut in increments of .005 and do it precisely and repeatedly. In my work this extreme precision is very important. But it's not just precision – it's also the fineness of cut that made the Felder machines stand out as well.
When I upgraded from my Hammer A3-41 I had briefly considered other brands, but the brands I was familiar with could not match what I knew of Felder. In the end I was not willing to take a chance on another brand that may or may not live up my standards. So, I stayed with the Felder line knowing it was a safe bet.
My expectations were high. But upon receipt of my machine those expectations were exceeded.
The jointer tables proved to be incredibly flat. A feeler gauge could only find a couple of places at .002”. I’ve never had a jointer this flat. Larger boards when run over the jointer suck down to the outfeed table – I love that - wow!
The inspection of the planer section yielded similar results. The bed from one side to the other is again within .002” (again this qualifies as - wow!) The digital read out is repeatable to the same number within my ability to measure - .001” - .002”
I am semi-retired now and have days where I have no excuse to use my AD 941. At the end of such days I will often pick up a piece of wood and run it over the jointer – just because it’s such a pleasurable thing to do. The Felder AD 941 is such a marvelous piece of machinery!
"Our kappa 400 X-motion sliding table has been a great investment, feels like nothing we've ever experienced, the smoothness of the table saw is unreal! We are looking forward to many productive years with this machine.
"I've had 5 different jointers in my shop over the last 4 years. Finally, with the Plan 51L, I've got a tool that doesn't make me wish I had something better. It's a truly solid, industrial quality machine and an absolute pleasure to use. The results are both predictable and excellent. With all my previous jointers, using the machine was merely a first step in the jointing process. Obtaining true accuracy meant substantial follow-up time with hand planes. With the Plan 51L, I typically get a board that's flat and square to within a few thousandths of an inch and has a surface finish that could go straight to 400 grit (or higher) sandpaper. Adding the power feeder makes it so easy to joint long boards (8' or longer) that it almost feels like cheating."
"The New owner of Closet Works, Frank Happ, brings many years of manufacturing experience to an already established business. In a complete plant overhaul, Happ decided to replace all of their existing machinery with new and updated. Since implementing the new machinery, not only has Closet Works doubled their production output but they have done so while almost eliminating the need for a second shift. Operating Costs have been greatly reduced and quality of the works has greatly increased.
2013 was Closet Works best year in it’s 27 year history and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without Felder"
