With the innovative, tilting saw blade unit and precision double guiding for precise angle and height adjustment, the K500 S guarantees a new dimension of efficiency. The built-in, electrically operated scoring saw blade with a Ø of 120 mm makes cuts even through materials with sensitive surfaces a breeze. At the heart of the FELDER K 500 S, the powerful circular saw unit a circular saw shaft, which allows a saw blade with up to Ø 315 mm while using of the scoring unit. The enhanced circular saw unit with the patented tilt segment "Easy-Glide" enables the combination of a main saw blade with a Ø from 250 mm to Ø 315 mm and a Ø 120 mm scoring unit.
The patented tilt segment “Easy-Glide” fulfills the highest requirements in businesses and industries. A precise, guided, doublesided support, guarantees maximum load bearing and tolerance free tilting and is absolutely maintenance free. A special, highly durable synthetic material situated in the guide of the tilting segment ensures extremely smooth movement and long-lasting precision. The tilting guide system, a synthetic material tried and tested in aerospace and lock construction, works without the requirement of lubrication and is totally resistant to dust. With a 6 year factory guarantee this Felder component offers reliabilty for many years to come.
The electronically balanced saw arbor with dual bearing seat system is powered via a Poly-V belt. This combination results in an almost perfect transmission of power to the saw blade.
The electrically driven Ø 120 mm scoring saw blade ensures tear-free cuts and is perfect for materials with a surface that easily tears off. The scoring saw blade can be adjusted in height without clearance by means of easily accessible adjusting screws.
The Felder 500 Series saw unit is fully compatible with Dado tooling. Thanks to a removable table insert and flanges, specialised Felder dado tooling can be used.
The optimised extraction pipe guide guarantees that there is always enough space and a clean working surface.
Highest operating safety and maximum flexibility when processing large dimensioned workpieces: the new Felder overhead saw guard can be swung away easily and is always there where it is required.
The single handed adjustment system ensures quick and accurate setting of the rip fence. A fine adjustment facility is included. The rip capacity amounts to 800 mm or optionally 1250 mm. The easy to read rip scale is perfectly integrated into the saw table. The aluminium rip fence plate can be moved backwards to optimise the feed of workpieces.
Optional parallel cutting fence fine adjustment
The continuously developed linear guiding system from Felder has been astounding woodworkers since 1990. The high quality format sliding table guiding technology “X-Roll” comes with a 10 year Felder guarantee and offers amazing operating smoothness and is completely maintenance free. The 'x' design of the position of the roller bearings ensures that they move smoothly along hardened guides.
OUTSTANDING! The patented double mitre gauge from Felder allows for mitre cuts on pieces of differing widths and at any angle. Really easy to use: simply type in the desired angle as well as the widths of your workpieces on the keyboard. Immediately, you will receive the settings and can set the electronic double mitre gauge accordingly.
The fence stop on the fence can be adjusted up to 1350 mm with the scale.
Regardless of the angles set, the length compensating vernier scale allows you to compensate for the workpiece length.
The crosscut fence 1300 mm for crosscuts between +45° and –45°. The fence can be attached to the sliding table without the use of tools. The end stop provides you with the exact 90° position.
The bevelled mitre scale with accurate readout is visible from the operating area, enabling setting of the required crosscut value.
The large crosscut fence stops are constructed in such a way that a small tongue on the stop fits perfectly into a groove on the fence. This keeps the stop firmly in place for both straight and
mitered cuts.
The outrigger table enables the user to process large and heavy workpieces. The four ball bearing rollers guide the telescopic support arm and ensure maximum precision and smooth running.
The telescopic crosscut fence with mounting system and ergonomically designed scale with magnifying lens on the crosscut stop guarantees precise settings and crosscuts up to 2600 mm. The crosscut fence can be positioned between 90°-45° and has one crosscut stop as standard. There is a fixed end stop position for 90°.
Accurate angle adjustments, efficient operation and calibration are all made possible by the precision mitre guide index system.
