Nothing gets in the way here

The efficient and continuous workflow at Riepl Joinery is not so easily slowed down. But what is the secret behind this seamless operation? How does the team manage to masterfully execute even the most complex projects?

The Riepl woodworking shop in Dietersburg/Peterskirchen near Pfarrkirchen in Lower Bavaria is manufacturing built-in wardrobes for a hotel. For this, journeyman cabinet maker Sebastian Stadler is at the CNC, milling the panels that were previously cut to size on the vertical panel saw by Karl Liebl, labeled, and staged on a pallet truck. On the 5-axis CNC's touchscreen, he selects the respective program and positions the vacuum pods using millimeter scales according to the screen display. The CNC sizes the parts, drills, and mills pockets for the LED power supplies. Manuela Riepl, responsible for organization and project management, designed the furniture with Palette CAD and generated all the production data, including parts lists and CNC programs, via the CAM module. Her husband Manuel organizes the workflows in the workshop. While the CNC is running, he pushes a cart with machined furniture parts to the edge banding machine. In parallel, Karl Liebl cuts solid wood and pre-sized panels on the sliding table saw.

The Riepl woodworking shop specializes in high-end interior construction and furniture for commercial and private clients. Manuela and Manuel Riepl met on a construction site. He was working as a freelance installation carpenter without a workshop, while she, as a project manager for a large interior finishing company, organized the on-site procedures. It soon became clear to both of them that they wanted to build a future together not only personally, but also professionally.

Manuel gained many years of experience as a freelance installation carpenter. Manuela Riepl studied Interior Engineering at the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, graduating with a degree as a Dipl.-Ing. in Interior Engineering (FH). She subsequently worked in high-end interior construction, deepening her expertise in planning, design, and project management. Step by step, the plan to build their own woodworking shop took shape.

In 2012, Manuel built a 350 m² hall, well-lit with natural light right to the center, adjacent to the double garage previously used for his installation business. His father, who was skilled in construction, supported him in this endeavor. He equipped the building with used machines and initially worked without a CNC. In 2015, he met Manuela, who joined the company, which had been converted into a GmbH, after the birth of their son Lukas. Starting in 2020, they began replacing the majority of the old machines with new ones from the Felder Group. The deciding factors were the integrated system solution, the precise workmanship, the intuitive operation, and the regional service. In 2024, they commissioned the "Profit H350" 5-axis CNC and Palette CAD.

"State of the art"

Manuel Riepl says, "The machines run efficiently, reliably, and are easy to operate." Manuela Riepl adds, "But above all, we are manufacturing with state-of-the-art technology and can confidently handle even complex projects."
