The two diamond-tipped milling heads rotate in opposing directions, ensuring a perfectly straight workpiece edge to which the edge material can be glued. The premilling unit guarantees that chipped or torn edges are a thing of the past, each and every time.
Depending on the requirement, coiled material 0.4 to 3.0 mm thick and strip material up to 6 mm (8 mm option) thick can be used for workpieces up to 60 mm in thickness. The guillotine scissors for cutting the coiled material are set to a maximum of 3x 64 mm. The magazine, which automatically feeds the strip material via the pin grip roller, has a holding capacity of 120 mm.
The operation controlled, high quality quartz infrared lamp warms the edge surface in front of the glue unit. This guarantees that the edging adheres to cold workpieces.
The Teflon coated glue pot has a capacity of 2 kg PVA hot melt adhesive granulate (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers). The machine is ready to operate after only 12 minutes. The fine adjustable glue roller ensures that the correct amount of hot glue is applied to the differing types of edging material. PUR (Polyurethane resin) hot melt adhesive granulate may be used in accordance with the glue manufacturer‘s processing guidelines. The gluepot can be changed in record time without the use of tools, allowing an uncomplicated glue type or colour change.
The pressure rollers consists of a large cylindrical roller and two additional pressure rollers as standard. These 2 secondary pressure rollers are conical and thereby apply increased pressure on both the upper and lower surface of the edging material. The whole unit is mechanicall. This spring loaded system ensure a perfect bond between edging material and the workpiece
The end trimming unit consists of two independent saw units with high frequency motors (12,000 rpm). Linear guides ensure maximum precision. The end trimming unit can be tilted manually between 0°–10°.
It is quick and easy to switch between flush trimming, radius trimming and bevelled cuts for thin edges. The newly developed setup system ensures balanced edge tolerances and prevents setup mistakes. Two independent high-frequency motors with special spindles ensure perfect milling results of any edging material. The machine is equipped with 2 mm radius knifes as standard. The machine can be equipped with 3 mm radius upon request.
Productivity that you can't do without and no time consuming post processing of the workpieces. The Felder corner rounding unit completes the finish of the corners of the workpieces, processing edge material of 0.4-3 mm and 45 mm in height without having to reduce the feed speed (also suitable for soft forming and post forming). The solid cast iron construction, linear guides and HW-cutters with centrifugal coupling ensures maximum durability. Control of the corner rounding unit is done via the control panel.
Fine tunes the edge radius and removes excess glue.
The manually adjustable glue scraper ensures a perfect finish on the workpiece by removing any remaining glue residue.
The buffing unit leaves a super finish on ABS and PVC edging, and removes any discolouring of the edge, noticable especially when working with dark edge material.
