The new brushing machines for universal applications
The new Format4 brushing machines, finebrush 1355 and 1353, convince in their industrial use thanks to the optimised combination of the units. With 5 or 3 brushing units, workpieces with profiling or structure are optimally fine sanded and prepared for the final surface finish, e.g. lacquering. An additional advantage is that the abrasive brushes are equipped with two grit sizes in combination with the reverse direction of rotation. This allows the operator to carry out fine sanding as well as intermediate lacquer sanding without having to change the abrasive grit. This saves time and avoids unnecessary handling.
Maximum operating comfort in industrial use
The clearly structured touch screen control can be operated intuitively. All machine functions are clearly shown graphically on the digital display.
The infeed thickness can be set to the tenth of a millimetre directly from the control panel at the touch of a button.
The fixed infeed table height of 900 mm guarantees simple and effortless work.
The system can thus be optimally integrated into continuous processes for various surface treatments.
A vacuum table as well as roller table extensions on the infeed and outfeed sides ensure the best possible comfort and ideal processing conditions for workpieces of any format.

Details
The disc brush unit "compact" with a brush diameter of 115 mm with Format4 finebrush 1353 processes the workpieces in rotary grinding. Sharp workpiece edges are thus easily rounded and internal corners are cleanly machined.
The oscillation control installed as standard enables uniform utilisation of the sanding brushes with a homogeneous end result.
The direction of rotation and the sanding speed can be adjusted continuously from 0.8-5 m/sec conveniently from the control panel.
The brush diameter of finebrush 1355 is 240mm.
The grinding inserts on the longitudinal and disc brushes can be exchanged quickly and easily and reduce any set-up times enormously.
The finebrush 1353 features a height adjustment by means of a feed table, and the finebrush 1355 has a fixed infeed table height of 900mm that guarantees simple and effortless work.
Due to the consistent height, the machine can also be integrated into a processing line without any effort.
As standard, the feed speed can be continuously adjusted from the control panel between 0.6–8 m/min.
"Particularly with profiled workpieces, the Tampico cleaning brush enables the cleanest results, without dust residues.
Furthermore, an oscillating cleaning fan can be installed at the machine outlet. Particularly with automatic painting systems, the workpiece is thus prepared dust-free for the subsequent surface treatment."
The workpieces are machined and ground in the longitudinal direction, thus also enabling the machining of transverse workpiece edges. The optional oscillation control enables uniform utilisation of the sanding brushes with a homogeneous end result.
