FW 850 classic
The combination unit with a roller diameter of 90 mm is used for the calibration of solid wood. The electro-pneumatic sanding pad presses gently and evenly onto the work piece surface and can be used for multiple materials including veneered work pieces.
Consistent, electro-pneumatic sanding pad with convenient pressure control on the operator's side. The durable graphite coating ensures a perfect sanding finish.
The sanding belt can be changed quickly and without the use of tools, ensuring easy set-up without lengthy downtimes.
Machine operators can choose between two feed speeds, 4 and 8 m/min. If necessary, the speed can also be adjusted during the sanding process.
The clearly structured and intuitive control panel provides maximum productivity. Via the main control panel you can set the worktable to the workpiece thickness, fine-adjust it in 0.1 mm increments, select the desired feed speed and start the machine. The use of contact roller or sanding pad is done via the additional control panel, which is also used for fine adjustments of the sanding pad pressure. This way, optimum sanding results can be achieved.
The sanding belt control system scans the belt run and activates the electronic-pneumatic sanding belt control, which oscillates the sanding belt back and forth. The belt guidance monitors the belt run and stops the sanding belt motor immediately in the event of a potential sanding belt run-out.
Professional surface processing and small space requirements no longer pose a contradiction! Again, Felder has created a machine series that fits into any size workshop.
The nubbed and continuously vulcanised infeed belt guarantees maximum durability. Feed speeds from 2.5 - 18 m/min (depending on the model) always enable optimum adaptation to the material and the sanding grit. The speed can also be adjusted during the sanding process.
FW 1102 perform
The clearly structured and intuitive control panel provides maximum productivity. The infeed thickness is clearly shown on the digital display and can be adjusted to an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre.
Maximum process reliability guaranteed when setting the working height: As the workpiece is fed into the machine, the workpiece thickness is automatically adjusted by means of fibre optic and laser sensors. The measuring device adjusts the passage height exactly to the material thickness, deducting the desired chip removal.
The machine has 2 processing units: a contact roller units and a sanding pad unit. This allows pre sanding and fine sanding in a single working step
The contact roller aggregate calibrates workpieces, and thanks to the reduced contact surface greater chip removal of up to 0.5 mm is possible. The grooved and rubberised contact roller boasts a hardness of 85 Shore and therefore has several advantages over steel rollers.
The GLP is another new feature which can be added as an option to your wide belt sander. GLP assists in reducing the power consumption and provides the following benefits:
+ speed reduction of the sanding belt between work processes
+ automatic switch-off of the infeed belt
+ automatic signal for valve control of the extraction system
BCO is a new feature for monitoring the wear of the sanding belt. The operator receives an indication as to which part of the sanding belt is less worn and can therefore feed the workpieces at this point - thus preventing irregular wear of the sanding belt.
The segmented electro-pneumatic sanding shoe can be used for both frame- and lacquer sanding. Because the sanding shoe is divided into 25 mm wide segments, it does not always cover the entire working width. Special touch sensors measure length and width of the workpiece at the machine infeed so that the respective segments can be activated in a process-controlled manner.
The wide belt sander can also be equipped with a vacuum table which is particularly useful for smooth, small or thinner workpieces. The vacuum is created by a high pressure fan which is coupled with the feed. The vacuum holds the workpiece through the holes in the vacuum feed belt.
